Kentucky's street legal laws are very open to vehicle modifications. There are no restrictions on a vehicle's suspension, frame, or bumpers. Drivers can install suspension lift kits, aftermarket wheels and tires, performance shocks, aftermarket bumpers, and grille guards without worry.
- DIMENSIONS - In Kentucky, vehicles have a maximum size of 96 inches wide, 11 feet 6 inches tall, and 26 feet 6 inches long for a single vehicle.
- BRAKES - Vehicles driven in Kentucky are required to have brakes capable of stopping the vehicle from a speed of 20 mph within 40 feet. A secondary, mechanical, parking brake is also required.
- EXHAUST - Kentucky requires vehicles to be equipped with mufflers. Exhaust cutouts and bypasses are not allowed.
